Stuck On The Quick And Easy Cooking Tip

I was recently trolling around some of the more popular cooking sites when the topic of quick and easy recipes to cook seemed to be as good as a topic as any other related to cooking to write a post about. The reason I decided on the theme of cooking recipes that are quick and easy was actually pretty simple and I don’t know why it took me browsing four different cooking sites for the idea to finally enter my brain?

I guess you could call that a form of writers block when you are searching for a starting point to write about and you can’t seem to focus on the basic subject! Today’s subject of course is cooking seeing how I writing this post for the cooking blogshot. Any way I digress although that does sound like an idea for another post on a different blogshot ;-)

OK back to cooking quick and easy recipes, like I was saying I was browsing quite a few of the more popular cooking sites when it occurred to me that one of the easiest things to find on all these sites were links, features or widgets pointing me and everyone else that goes to their site in the direction of quick and easy recipes. Are we all really that busy and stressed out  in our daily lives that cooking our meals is all about finding the quickest and easiest was to cook our meals?

I would think with the popularity of cooking shows like the Iron Chef competition and Hell’s Kitchen along with all the other cooking shows that are so popular now a days that the art of taking time to cook a full on meal would be on the rise in popularity. I suppose I understand everyone wanting their meals to be quick and easy I just can’t help but wonder if all this quick and easy cooking that were all so keen on doing now a days is contributing to the health and obesity problems that are so prevalent in our society?

Do you think quick and easy recipes are contributing to the health and obesity problems in society?
